Create Jira tickets in Slack as an agent or administrator

Different ways to create Jira tickets in Slack as agent:

Pre-requisites

  • Troopr should be connected to your Jira
  • Troopr HelpDesk is enabled in your workspace

1. Create in Troopr Home in Slack

To create a ticket from "Troopr Assistant Home tab in Slack", click on "Troopr Assistant" in Slack (if not visible, add the app first by clicking on "+" button next to Apps and choosing "Troopr Assistant").
Then navigate to Home tab and click on "+ Issue" button.
This will open dynamic issue creation form. Choose your JSM project and fill in the details to complete creation of ticket.

2. Create using Troopr Launcher

Launch Troopr by typing this command in any Slack channel

This will open Troopr launcher.
Then click on "+ Issue" to open the dynamic issue creation form. Choose your JSM project and fill in the details to complete creation of ticket.

3. Convert any Slack message

Convert any Slack message to Jira issue by clicking on three dots menu in the top right of the message and then choosing “More actions” and selecting "Task It". If "Task It" is not available, look for it in "More message shortcuts".
Clicking on "Task It" will allow you to directly convert the message into a Jira issue by opening the dynamic issue creation form. Choose your JSM project and fill in the details to complete creation of ticket.

4. Troopr create command

Troopr create commands provide Slack users quickest way to create new issues in Slack. Create a new issue with a simple text message or create issue with any number of custom fields all in the command line.
